The hunger for power and the uncontrolled urges to be in power by the APC aspirants at all levels especially the presidential level, has been seen as what could spell doom for the country, by the governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose.
He told Nigerians not vote for the APC presidential candidate because the party would plunge Nigeria into civil and religious war because of its hunger for power and control.
This, Fayose said in a statement on Friday in Ado-Ekiti. he blamed the APC of "campaign of hate"
According to Fayose, the APC presidential flag bearer, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari(rtd), is as an "Islamist who is out to return power to the northerners and implement Islamic agenda."
Fayose said that if Buhari emerges as President, it will result in a crisis in the Niger-Delta where President Goodluck Jonathan of the Peoples Democratic Party hails from.
The statement reads, "The APC as a party is saying that it will form parallel government if Buhari loses, implying that the party has admitted defeat and is ready to throw the country into chaos. "The APC people are already telling Nigerians what will happen after the election if President Jonathan wins.
