Prof Osinbajo and Buhari gets the blessing of Awolowo's wife

Wife of Obafemi Awolowo, Hannah Idowu Dideolu, HID on Friday gave her support to Gen Muhammad Buhari (retd) and Professor Yemi Osinbajo as presidential and vice presidential candidates of All Progressives Congress (APC). She received Professor Yemi Osinbajo in her Ikenne home in Ogun state."I am very grateful this morning to see that Yemi Osinbajo is going to higher ground and it is my prayer that he will get there. I urge you all to support his aspiration; God will take you there," she said.

Osinbajo gave his reasons for coming, saying that he came to receive blessings and also for a successful outcome at the polls next month.

The APC's vice presidential candidate also strategically  visited  other prominent traditional ruler  in the state, those visited were Akarigbo and paramount ruler of Remoland, Oba Michael Sonariwo, and the Awujale and paramount ruler of Ijebuland, Oba Kayode Adetona, to receive royal blessings from the two traditional rulers.

He then  attended a town hall meeting organised  by the Ikenne Peoples Forum, co ordinated by Chief Adeleke Adesina, where he was told at the gathering that the forum was established to drum up support for their kinsman.

"This is our project. The very day his name was announced as the running mate of Buhari was the very day we formed the Ikenne Peoples Forum so that we can chart a common front by supporting our son, Professor Osinbajo."

He blamed bad leadership for all the challenges confronting the nation, promising that his party would bring about the desired change in all ramifications adding that APC will not be deterred in carrying out the good legacy led by Chief Obafemi Awolowo the former Premier of Western Nigeria.

"My choice as the Vice Presidential candidate of our party is a rare opportunity for Remoland, Ogun State and Nigeria. It is divine.

"Awolowo came out of Remoland to become the premier of the defunct Western Region and he did excellently well. It is my utmost belief and prayer that we will do more than him."
