Fayose Excellent Performance Pave Way for His Second Term – Patience

Ekiti State Governor, Dr Peter Ayodele has been described as an excellent performer whose track records in office during his first term in office paved way for his landslide victory in a second attempt.

Wife of President of Nigeria, Dame Patience Jonathan stated this while addressing women in Ekiti State as part of campaign activities for the re-election of her husband, President Goodluck Jonathan.

Mrs Jonathan who noted that women have thrived under the administration of her husband, commended the state governor for replicating women empowerment at the state level.

She noted that Fayose whose administration shares some semblance with that of the president revealed that both the President and the governor always live up to their words, saying they will not promise what they will not deliver.

She listed part of her husband's ahievements as conceding 16 positions to the women in the Federal Executive council, engaging directly and indirectly about 26, 000 youths in the YOUWIN programme. Conditional cash transfer to women in form of soft loans and delivery packages for pregnant women.

Farmers according to her have enjoyed various incentive in form of fertilizers, seedlings and soft loans while a programme called G-WIN has been designed to ensure girl-child education. Various schorlarship programmes both within and outside the country also formed part of the achievement od the PDP led Federal government according to the First Lady.

Earlier, the governor assured the wife of the president of the people of the State for the re-election of her husband, saying the people were ready to vote the President massively as they voted for him to become governor.

He noted that the President's emergence was an act of God and as such, through divine intervention, the President will emerge victorious in the March 28 elections.

Wife of the State governor, Mrs Feyisetan Fayose noted that Ekiti is solidly behind the President, saying every hand will be on deck to ensure the victory of Mr President.

Others who spoke at the campaign to include wife of Senate President, Mrs Helen Mark, PDP National women leader, Mrs Kema Chikwe, Ekiti SSG, Dr Modupe Alade and the Ekiti South Senatorial Candidate on the platform of PDP Chief 'Biodun Olujinmi drummed support for the re-election of the President.

The entourage of the President's wife had been at the Ewi's palace earlier where Oba Rufus Adejugbe gave his royal blessings before over 140 Oloris across the state led by Eyesorun Abosede Adejugbe prayed for the victory of President Goodluck Jonathan.
