The immediate past Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, has agreed to work with the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Lagos State, Mr. Jimi Agbaje, to challenge APC in the next year governorship election.
Obanikoro, who contested the governorship primaries under the People Democratic Party PDP, who eventually lost to Mr Jimi Agbaje.
Obanikoro, has accused deputy national chairman of PDP and former Minister of State for Works, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe for rigging the primaries to favour there candidate.
Obanikoro, had also sued the party for not attending to a petition he wrote over the party's conduct of the primary which he described as a sham.
Report gathered suggest that President Goodluck Jonathan had intervened in the feud and will be given a senior ministerial position compare to his former position. Obanikro, who will help the President to campaign in Lagos and we will also work with Agbaje.
The development comes less than 24 hours after the PDP South-West chairman, Chief Makanjuola Ogundipe, called on the PDP leadership to ensure that aggrieved aspirants in the state were appeased because Lagos could determine who wins the presidential elections.
