New entrant, Jimi Agbaje has emerged as Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s candidate for the Lagos state governorship elections.
He beat among others, the former minister of state for Defense, Musiliu Obanikoro at the party’s governorship primary election conducted in Lagos.
Agbaje, who didn’t make it in 2007 under the platform of Democratic People Alliance, scored 432 out of 836 votes cast at the primaries conducted on Monday. Obanikoro polled 343 votes.
The Lagos state PDP primaries saw Jimi Agaje beat other contenstants like, Mr. Babatunde Gbadamosi, Dr. (Mrs) Modupe Chukwuneke, Adedeji Doherty, and Ambassador Tokunboh Kamson.
Under this development, Agbaje will now contest against APC’s candidate Akinwumi Ambode and others at the next year’s governorship elections to know who Governor Fashola hands over the affairs of Lagos state to.
