Parenting isn’t for the faint-hearted; mental and physical exhaustion is a futile combo that comes with the job. It’s even more challenging when you have kids with single digits in terms of age. You are on the clock 24 hours, tending to babies and toddlers that need care and attention around the clock. Each child is different and has no manual! One might be more accessible to parents, and another might be pushing you over the edge. One might be a picky eater and the other not; some have a bad temperament. If it isn’t behavioral issues, then it’s health or safety issues. With all this being said, children are a gift that comes with challenges, and they deserve all the love in the world.
Up And Ready To Go!
When it comes to parenting, the mornings are usually a time for optimism. No yelling yet, you look good, the house is a little quiet, and overall a great start to the day! Sadly the end of your day is a sharp contrast to the former blissful morning. Nothing good lasts forever, they say. That’s a pretty accurate and compelling statement!
At 8 pm, you will look and feel like a caveman! All optimism and good looks are gone! Perhaps it was all a dream. Parenting will very much push you to your breaking point. This is especially the reality if your kiddo is still in the single digits in age. Every little demand has to be attended to, crying, fights, tantrums, etc., it all comes in the parenting package.
