The Federal Road Safety Corps on Wednesday decorated over 50 newly promoted officers with their new ranks.
The Zonal commander, Mr. Godwin Ogagaoghene, the Zonal officer in charge of the zone, which comprises Lagos and Ogun, said the promotion would enhance productivity, adding that the newly-promoted officers are expected to put in their best to realize the mandate of the corps.
“The management of FRSC has graciously approved the promotion of 50 officers in the zone and they have been decorated today. This is as a result of their hard work and success during the promotion examinations.
“Those who have been decorated today promised that they will put in their best in the service of the corps. It will certainly enhance performance in great measures because promotion is a motivational tool,” he said.
He expressed optimism that the promotion would motivate the officers to put in more effort to their duties.
One of the newly promoted officers, Mr. Omaru Bamayi, who was promoted from Superintendent Corps Commander to Chief Route Commander, simply called his new rank, “an added responsibility’.
“Everyone promoted here is as a result of his input in the system. It has been hard work. For every added rank, it is an added responsibility and added challenges; we are to do more to be promoted to the next ranks,” Bamayi said.
Ayodeji Oseni, another officer promoted to the same rank, said the feat was not attained on a platter of gold. “It is not an easy thing; now that I have been decorated, the management should expect better performance.
“I believe I will live up to the commission’s expectations because, I will be more committed at my post to move this commission forward,” he said.
