The remarkable thing about photographs is that they retain a precise moment in each picture. If a long period has passed between taking the initial photo and the following image you take or view of that location, it will appear very distinct.

The Kowloon Peninsula in Hong Kong has seen a lot of development during the last five decades, so it’s no surprise that these years were vital. It’s nearly difficult to believe that these two images depict the exact location when considering how much this peninsula has changed.
