Milan, Italy – 1950s vs. 2021
Do you ever just sit there and wonder how these magnificent, marvelously constructed churches, cathedrals, and buildings were all built in a time when materials were more limited and far less efficient than they are today? And let’s not start on the attention to detail…
There are so many differences between these two photographs, taken nearly 70 years apart! The buildings surrounding the roadway are all identical; however, this multilane road is no longer a motorway and has become more like a square where people stroll. That must have been quite an undertaking for Milan’s city planners.
