Where it all started
We’re perplexed by Carrie’s metamorphosis over the last 15 years. Her inevitable ascent to stardom began when she auditioned for the fourth season of American Idol. She captivated audiences with her breathtaking vocals as she sang Bonnie Raitt’s I Can’t Make You Love Me. She went on to win the second phase by performing flawlessly with her version of Tiffany’s Could’ve Been. Simon Cowell has always told her that she’d be one of his favorites, and he was right.

When Carrie auditioned for The Voice, she was just 21 years old. Even though no one saw a bright future for Checotah native Carrie herself, her voice wowed the judges.
