Always giving back
Carrie’s generosity knows no bounds. When a particular cause captivates her attention, it glows the brightest. She established The Checotah Animal, Town, and School Foundation, better known as C.A.T.S., as a long-time vegan and animal rights activist. It assists with a variety of problems in her hometown of Checotah, Oklahoma, including providing shelter for stray animals and helping aspiring musicians achieve their potential.
Aside from supporting Habitat for Humanity, The Red Cross, and PETA, she has volunteered with them. In 2014, she was given the Artist Humanitarian Award for her continuous stream of humanitarian efforts. But the country singer is more interested in assisting wherever she can.
