Messi: I may leave Barcelona in summer

November 18, 2014 by Kelly Davies 4 Comments

During the international break, which saw Messi facing the Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo in a friendly. Leo Messi has given an interview to the newspaper Olé talking about various issues  which includes the situation at Barça.

“It’s a big club. And when you lose two games in a row, you begin to anticipate problems, criticism from all sides. There came a new coach (Luis Enrique), with new ideas, and that takes time. We have more than enough players to make important things this year. And I take it quietly. This is just the beginning. I missed some Champions league actions … but I‘m not worried. “

Messi says that “since last year I come with criticism, not only to the group. And this 2014 the same. When the results are not given, it’s criticism. It is the same for everyone. From the outside it looks all easy but it is not.”

Messi talks on his future as well…. “Today I live in the present, i’m thinking of making a great year, and we want to win titles in Barcelona and nothing else … While I always said that I would always stay there, sometimes not everything happens as one wants, “and that” I say many times. If I had my way I always stay. But as I just said, you don’t get everything you want in life. Especially in football, which is constantly changing and so many things happen. It’s complicated at times, just as it’s happening today in Barcelona.”

From the tone of his voice you can sense that the pressure is really weighing him down, but as a great player that he is a, sure you gonna bounce back and give us more quality games
