On this day, October 16 2004, Lionel Messi made his debut for FC Barcelona which counting, amounts to 10 years today. The birth of a football record breaker happened on a Spanish soil, and has been a good thing to the Spanish Football.
The Argentine wonder kid nurtured a very humble beginning to a very lofty height, beating peers, mates and opponents to get to the top. In these ten years of his career with Barcelona, Messi has won numerous titles and awards, which includes the most prestigious football Award- Ballon Do’r.
Being the first player to win the Award Four times consecutively, and it doesn’t seem he is stopping soon. The 27 years old has seen it all, “the good and bad of Football.”
His goal scoring talent and his ability to change matches has made him the best player in the world. In 2012, he broke Gerd muller’s record of 85 goals in a calendar year and sets his own record of 91 goals.
He has thus expressed his gratitude to his fan through his Facebook page saying:
