The World Health Organisation, WHO, is funding a research on International Initiative on Health Policy Implementation Platform in Ebonyi State University.
The initiative is a global effort by the world body to institutionalize health policy and health systems training worldwide.
The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Francis Idike made this known in Abakaliki. He said the institution would implement the project under the African Institute for Health Policy and Health System Studies.
Idike said that the pilot phase of the project is expected to take off with twenty five thousand dollars grant, stressing that Argentina, Pakistan and Georgia are among other countries benefitting from the project.
He commended the Federal government for funding public universities in the country through Tertiary Education Fund Intervention programme.
