Police recovers 7,000 stolen PVC in Delta state

Delta State Police Command says it has recovered seven thousand Permanent Voter's Cards carted away from INEC office at Oghara by unknown gun men.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Celestina Kalu, told newsmen in Asaba that detectives from the Command swung into action following reports by one Shakira Adewale of INEC that armed robbers broke into INEC office and madeaway with some PVCs.

According to the Police PRO, the arrest of the security guards attached to the INEC office at Oghara led to the arrest of one Lucky Aputu from whom the stolen PVCs were recovered.
Mrs. Kalu added that the recovered permanent voter's cards have been returned to INEC.
