See How This Guy Brings the Absurdities of Life Into a Comic Strip

May 22, 2021 by Elizabeth Grillo

Did You Pack Your Bags Yourself?

This picture is so frustrating it hurts! You securely lock your luggage with an ingenious combination, only to find out that the zipper broke. Why? Because zippers always break! We’re sending people to outer space and performing robot-assisted brain surgery, but no one has yet invented the technology to prevent zippers from breaking!

We know the point isn’t suitcases and zippers, but still, we want to quote one smart commenter, who wrote: Whatever they charge you at the airport to wrap your suitcase, it’s cheap in comparison. Also, if you open it carefully with a cutter, and don’t mind leaving the plastic on for the months it will spend put away on a closet, next time around you just close it with scotch tape. It will look freshly insured, so the baggage handlers won’t throw it around (as hard). Win-win. Safe trips!
