True Colors
My mom used to laugh at me and my friends when we were in our punk-rock days. She didn’t understand how we could profess to be different if we all looked the same (at least in her eyes). The best comment anyone left below this comic strip was: “I’m so unique, just like everybody else.” To which someone else commented: “Me too.”
But really, do people dye their hair blue, pink, green, or purple, just to be different and unique?

Perhaps it’s the other way around. Maybe they do it to be like people they feel are similar to them, and to belong to a certain tribe or subculture. Or maybe they just do it because they like it or because it’s fun. Or because it’s trendy and fashionable. There actually are many different reasons to dye your hair in a bright color. Personally, I think no reason is more valid than another (and any hair stylist would agree).
