Don’t you find it funny how some people think they have all the freedom in the world and that they are in charge of their own destiny? It’s quite naïve, isn’t it? This illustration kindly reminds us of the laws of physics and the constitution. There are, of course, many other sets of rules, or even just conventions and norms that we live by. They control our lives, even if we don’t always notice them.
Total freedom is obviously an illusion – certainly, if you are surrounded by other people and consider yourself part of society. On the other hand, if you don’t take the phrase “my life, my rules” literally, and just view it as a mantra that intends to inspire, maybe it actually could give you just a little bit of freedom.
