See How This Guy Brings the Absurdities of Life Into a Comic Strip

May 22, 2021 by Elizabeth Grillo

Long Lost Kitten

This obviously isn’t realistic, but as many of the commenters on Instagram failed to see, it’s not meant to be. Mommy-cat and daddy-cat in this comic strip are obviously anthropomorphized. In reality, they wouldn’t cry over their lost kitten who was adopted by some kid. But that’s not the point.

I think the point is that we humans do things that benefit us without thinking of the damage we cause to other species. As we all know, there are many different ways in which humans damage nature and harm animals. This comic strip is just an emotional trigger intended to drive the point home. It reminded me of how I cried when Snoopy and his brothers and sisters were separated from their mother when they were sold at the Daisy Hill Puppy Farm.
