Oh no! I must confess I identify with this quite a bit. This happens all the time. You’re invited to a party or an after-work event. You dress up nicely, set to make a good impression. You grab a glass of bubbly, as you do. It starts out nice, with light conversation, a bit of gossip, and some laughter. The evening progresses and you find yourself drinking more (what was that thing they said about not mixing different kinds of drinks?) and getting louder.
At some point, it’s not so fun anymore. In the end, you find yourself on the floor in a corner, clutching a bottle and fighting nausea. The next morning you try to remember the things you told people, which you know you really shouldn’t have. Will this experience prevent you from doing the exact same thing next time? Probably not.
