Your Call Is Important to Us, Please Hold the Line
There is nothing more frustrating than calling a call center and not getting through. Sometimes you wait for 40 minutes and in the end, they hang up on you, without ever answering. On the other hand, aren’t you sometimes guilty of the same sin? The only reason that “thou shalt not ghost”, “thou shalt not ignore someone’s call” and “thou shalt not ignore someone’s WhatsApp message”, weren’t part of the 10 Commandments that were revealed to Moses at Mount Sinai, is because the smartphone was not yet invented.
The point is, “don’t do unto others what you don’t want done unto you,” (thanks, Confucius). The concept of karma is really nice, but sadly in reality, even if you suddenly start answering every call and answering every WhatsApp message you get ASAP – the darn call center is still going to ignore your call.
