3. “Lefty”
Mickelson learned his trademark left-handed swing by mirroring his father as a child, eventually earning himself the nickname “Lefty”. In the course of his long and established career, Mickelson spent over 700 weeks within the top 10 of the world rankings.
Native to San Diego, California, “Lefty” is known as one of the most consistent and successful golfers ever, despite never managing to win the U.S. Open. In 2012, Mickelson was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame.
