#1: Octopuses Have Three Hearts

Did you know that octopuses have three hearts? That’s right! Two of these hearts pump blood to the gills to get oxygen, while the third pumps it to the rest of the body. When they swim, the heart that delivers blood to the body actually stops beating, which is one reason octopuses prefer to crawl instead of swim.
