Sweet Corn in Japan
Here’s something that’s pretty strange (not in a bad way). McDonald’s sells sweet corn kernels in a cup in Japan. In fact, corn is extremely popular in Japan, despite it not being a native plant. Our farmers grow it here, Europe, and other parts of Asia, and Japan hoards it all for themselves.
At Japanese McDonald’s, you have the option of swapping out french fries with a cup of sweet corn. It sounds like the healthier option, but you can bet that it isn’t. But why would you eat at McDonald’s if you’re worried about your health in the first place?
