The Discontinued McNoodles in Austria
It comes as no surprise that Austria has gotten rid of the McNoodles from their menu. Austrian McDonald’s started serving this Asian-inspired dish in late-2012, and the initial trials were a success. However, it was just a matter of time before the entire country decided that the McNoodle was offensive to their tastebuds.
In all honesty, this promotional picture makes the dish look pretty good, which is probably why it sold so well for several years. With chicken bits and a choice between sweet and sour sauce or curry sauce, it was definitely worth giving a try. And it was probably after the entire country tried it once and never again that the company’s higher-ups decided to put an end to the McNoodle.
