The McKroket in the Netherlands
In the Netherlands, you can get the McKroket, a sandwich that contains a huge croquette lump and a ton of sodium. While it looks pretty bland, it’s packing a ton of flavor. Imagine biting into this sandwich and having warm beef stew slowly pour out of the croquette and into your lap. Sounds like heaven, doesn’t it?
It’s not hard to see why the McKroket is such a top seller in the Netherlands. If we had it here, it’d definitely give regular cheeseburgers a run for their money. However, you’d definitely need a ton of sweet to counterbalance the saltiness of the beef stew.
