The Seasonal Apricot Sundae in Turkey
Here in the US, we only get chocolate, caramel, and strawberry sundaes at McDonald’s. But in Turkey, they’ve got a seasonal sundae item, the apricot sundae. It comes with slices of real (canned) apricots that give the vanilla ice cream a much-needed chew. It’s only around during the apricot-growing season in Turkey (between May and August).
The question in everyone’s mind: is the apricot sundae from Turkish McDonald’s any good? Based on reviews, yes, it is, but it’s not something that food tasters would look forward to every year. If you do travel to Turkey one day, make sure you plan your trip during the apricot season.
