False Advertising
Some companies end up making tall claims about their products just to be able to sell them. While innocent people always seem to fall for these claims, sometimes companies get caught in their own lies. Take for example this scenario where the store set up a shelf that supposedly can hold up to 1000 lbs of weight.
In order to really appeal to customers, they put 810 lbs worth of concrete on it. Clearly, the shelf wasn’t strong enough as all the bags seem to have toppled over after the shelf gave way. In their defense, they didn’t say how long the shelf could hold 1000 lbs for so…
