#6: Queen’s Oxygen Tanks and Oxygen Bar
To keep up with the intense physical demand, Queen’s late-70s tour rider included a very practical request. The band required high-grade medical oxygen tanks to be placed in the wings on both sides of the stage. During drum solos or instrumental breaks, Freddie Mercury and guitarist Brian May would sprint backstage for a few huffs of pure oxygen. It was the only way they could recharge before performing another song in front of thousands of screaming fans.
