#2: Led Zeppelin’s Private Fire Engine Escort

In the mid-70s, at the peak of their power, Led Zeppelin didn’t do traffic. Getting from the airport to the arena in a limousine was for normal people, so the band demanded a full police motorcade, sirens blazing, to clear the city streets. They even required a dedicated fire engine as part of their escort, because it guaranteed a quick getaway right after the final encore. That way, the authorities had to deal with the aftermath while the band was already in the air.
