With a heavy personal investment in salmon farming and agriculture, frontman Ian Anderson brought his pastoral interests on tour. The team had to provide a selection of organic, locally sourced produce. I know it sounds like a simple request, but the vegetables had to be verified by actual farm inspectors. If Anderson or his team found any sign of commercial pesticides on the backstage carrots or broccoli, he threatened to walk off the stage in the middle of the show.
