#1: Brooklyn Supreme, the World’s Largest Horse (1930)
Brooklyn Supreme, a Belgian stallion, still holds the record as one of the largest horses to ever live. Standing at a massive 19.2 hands tall (1.98 meters) and weighing over 1,450 kilograms, this gentle giant required colossal custom horseshoes made from 76 centimeters of iron per pair. Throughout the 1930s, his owners exhibited him across the United States, charging a mere ten cents for awestruck spectators to view his incredible stature up close.
