As you may or may not know, the name Delilah famously originates from Hebrew and translates to “delicate.” If you know your Bible, you know Delilah was Samson’s lover, who betrayed him by cutting his hair, his source of strength.

While Delilah is portrayed in the Bible as a dangerous and treacherous person, I have to admit it’s a nice name with a nice ring to it. It’s been in and out of fashion since the 1600s and has seen a resurgence in popularity in the early 2000s.
