The royal family makes headlines on a daily basis, but it seems as if the media never has anything bad to say about Make Middleton. The Duchess of Cambridge is a role model for the people around the U.K and women around the world; she’s always gracious and elegant, she’s benevolent and caring and she’s a great mother. While Meghan Markle is painted by the media as the black ship of the royal palace (not that we agree with this reputation), Kate Middleton has always been loved by the people of England. From fashion to parenting, there’s a lot we can learn from her.
Protecting her kids’ privacy
Kate Middleton and Prince William have three kids; Princess Charlotte (5) Prince George (6) and Prince Louis (2). Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge are among the most interesting public figures in the world at the moment, and they are constantly followed by paparazzi, fans and (at times unwelcome) media attention. As the face of the royal family, they are always expected to represent the family with dignity. Despite their publicity, Kate has always attempted to keep her kids away from the spotlight and we think she’s doing a fine job. It’s challenging at times, but Kate does her best to protect her kids’ privacy and keep them away from the prying eye of the public.
Knowing when to be a disciplinarian and when to be a fun mom
You can tell that Kate Middleton is a woman that knows how to draw the line and set rules for her children, although she’s often pictured having fun with them. While the Duchess and her children are usually seen having fun and smiling in paparazzi photos, some of them reveal moments where she’s teaching them manners. For example, at her sister’s wedding, Kate was seen scolding the little ones and shushing them as they were entering the church prior to the ceremony.
Talking to them on their own level
Whenever they are out and about, Kate is always spotted getting down to their own level to speak with her children, so that she could look them in the eye. This isn’t something she’s invented, but a common parenting method called active listening – showing your children you’re truly listening and that you care about what they have to say. That way, she’s always giving them her full and undivided attention.
Taking them out to nature
It has already been scientifically proved that spending time outdoors is good for our mental and physical health – getting some fresh air and exercise, as well as soaking some Vitamin D – is always a good idea.Kate Middleton knows this, and she makes sure to take her kids out to nature as often as she can. This doesn’t have to be elaborate trips, but even a humble picnic under the sun. She’s also shared they have a garden where they grow their own vegetables.
