Muhammad Ali & The Beatles
Born Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr. in 1942, Muhammad Ali was an American professional boxer, activist, and philanthropist. He’s widely regarded as one of the greatest sports icons in history and most fans and critics deem him to be the greatest boxer in the history of the sport.
Here he is ‘punching’ The Beatles, who are similarly iconic; the British band had an incredible 17 number one hits in the USA while in their homeland, in terms of revenue accumulated, they are the most successful band ever. This meeting of Giants was a part of the Beatles tour in the United States, a tour that launched the pop culture phenomenon called ‘The British Invasion’.
