A USB “rubber”
You probably have at least one of these things lying around in your home somewhere. Perhaps it’s in your I-might-need-this-one-day drawer where you leave every spare cable, plug, and knick-knack that you don’t have the courage to toss away. But this particular object is quite puzzling. It’s not a converter, so what is it?
According to more learned folks, this is, for lack of a better name, a USB rubber (or synonym for ” rubber”). If you want to charge a device from your laptop, you plug your USB charger into this device before plugging it into your computer. This prevents files from transferring into your phone without your knowing it.
