The Chia Pet feels like it should have gone the way of the Pet Rock and been a strange ‘70s product. Instead, they’re still popular today. You spread chia seeds on your terra-cotta animal figurine, and they sprout chia hair. Ch-ch-ch-chia! My head plays that every time I have to write about it.
