#19: Is That a Good Thing?
The strangest thing about this cake is that it sits on the shelf. Bad taste aside, I could imagine this cake being presented at a very specific gathering as part of some specific personal joke. But only as a special request made to order and not as part of a store’s standard repertoire.

It’s much more disconcerting to imagine this particular cake made repeatedly and sold off the shelf to regular customers day after day. What business owner thinks to themself, “Ok, we’ve got our chocolate cake, our cream cake….what are we missing? Oh, of course, our wonderful I Smell Children cake!”
