We’re not sure what it is, but this picture is creepy and beautiful at the same time. We’re not sure when it was taken, but the sheer effort that went into these costumes is truly remarkable. Whoever made these, from the masks to the outfits, knew what they were doing.

Perhaps these were the creatures of an old wives’ tale that is no longer taught to kids today, or maybe they are just made-up creatures whose purpose is to scare young children. Either way, they do an excellent job of creeping us out.
