Diana Ross and Arne Næss, Jr., 1986
Diana Ross is one of the most notable names in the history of music. Starting her way in the industry as part of the vocal group The Supremes in the sixties, she quickly became one of the most successful and most inspirational singers of the time. Her first marriage was to music executive Robert Ellis Silberstein between 1971-1977.
By 1986, the pop icon was ready to tie the knot again, and she married Norwegian businessman and proficient mountaineer, Arne Naess Jr. in Switzerland. Ross and Naess share two sons named Ross and Evan. The couple filed for divorce in 2000, just four years before the wealthy businessman lost his life in a mountain climbing incident. She never married again.
