Peter Sellers and Miranda Macmillan, 1970
Peter Sellers earned a reputation as a multi-talented man in the 1970s. When he and his hippy chick wife Miranda Quarry married, she did so in a maxi dress, a large sombrero and boots – very appropriate for the times. Sellers was known for being a funny guy, appearing in a number of hilarious movies and writing comedic songs throughout his life.
Although Quarry was not involved with show business, she settled in fast to the entertainment lifestyle and is said to have gotten along with her in-laws. The two were separated in 1970 and divorced in 1974 after Sellers accused Quarry of infidelity. The couple remained friends throughout his life despite the rocky breakup.
