Confederate Currency
We’ve already mentioned how much old money can be worth, but sadly, not all are worth anything. In fact, owning confederate currency ain’t worth much these days. It has been worthless since the end of the Civil War. You might as well try to pay for your groceries with an “IOU” note.

Sure, it might make for a cool conversation starter or a neat piece of history to add to your collection, but don’t expect to retire on your confederate currency savings. If you do happen to come across some confederate currency, consider it more of a historical artifact than a valuable investment.
