Purple Hearts
Purple Hearts are medals given to soldiers who were wounded or killed in action during WWII. And let me tell you, a lot of soldiers earned them. It’s estimated that around 1.8 million Purple Hearts were awarded during WWII. But here’s the curious thing: many of these medals went unclaimed.

Some soldiers didn’t want them, some never received them, and some were lost in the shuffle. So, there’s a good chance that there’s a Purple Heart or two just chilling in a dusty old box somewhere. And who knows, maybe one day it’ll end up in a garage sale, and someone will buy it for a dollar.
