Of course, not every relic from the past is human. In fact, some of them come from a time before humanity even existed, like the fossil here. However, finding fossils is like a game of hot and cold. But don’t let that discourage you; when you do find that T-Rex skull, it’s like hitting the paleontological jackpot!
And just like a slot machine, the odds of hitting that jackpot are slim – only about 1 in 4,000. But hey, that’s why they call it a fossil hunt and not a fossil-find-easily-in-your-backyard-while-sipping-lemonade adventure. So grab your pickaxes and dust off those old bone-hunting boots. You might find something good!
