DeeDee Trotter
In the 2012 Olympics in London, DeeDee Trotter took home one gold and one bronze medal after “just” receiving a single silver medal in the 400-meter sprint during the trials. She was a former NCAA champion, representing the University of Tennessee. Since her college days, she’s shown immense talent, and scouts were quick to have her try out for multiple Olympics trials.
Her appearance on Team USA in London was the second time she represented our country at the Olympics. She won a gold medal in the 2004 Olympics Games in Athens. DeeDee participated in the 2016 trials, running her final lap as a professional athlete there before gracefully retiring after 13 years.
