Brenda Villa
Brenda Villa participated in the women’s water polo event, where she and 12 teammates won the gold medal. While she competed at the Olympic Games four times from 2000 to 2012, this would be her only gold medal. Before that, she received two silvers and a bronze.
It also just so happened to be her final medal. After winning the 2012 water polo event, she pretty much stopped competing. However, she set the world record by becoming the leading scorer in water polo history, recording 31 goals in total. Brenda is the proud winner of 18 medals from competing in international tournaments, 15 of which are gold.
