Lashinda Demus
Lashinda Demus only appeared in the Olympics one time, but she took home the silver medal in the 400-meter hurdles. In London, she recorded her season-best score of 52.77 seconds, just 0.07 seconds behind the first-place winner, Natalya Antyukh from Russia.
She would go on to compete in the 2013 World Championships in the 400-meter hurdles event, this time taking home a bronze medal for her efforts. That was also the last time anyone saw Lashinda run competitively. She’s currently the ambassador for Athletes Soul, an organization that supports retired athletes. You can catch up with the latest news from the Olympic hurdler on her Twitter and Instagram.
