Lia Neal
Lia Neal is another competitive swimmer that won a bronze and gold medal in the two relay races alongside Jessica Hardy. She started her swimming career in 2008 where the then-13-year-old ranked 28th in the 50-meter freestyle race during the Olympic Trials. Four years later in 2012, she made the cut and became the pride of her alma mater, Stanford.
She would also compete in the 2016 Olympic Games, taking home the silver medal in the 4×100-meter freestyle relay. Lia started her own podcast and YouTube channel in 2020, where she shared her experiences as a pro athlete and the difficulties involved in her career. In 2021, she officially stepped away from competitive swimming for good.
