Katie Ledecky
Katie Ledecky is a multi-gold-medal-winning competitive swimmer from Washington, D.C. Her debut in the Olympics was in 2012, where she won the first-place prize in the 800-meter freestyle. In fact, in every competition she attended between 2012 and 2016, she would only take home the gold medal.
The now-24-year-old competitive swimmer also participated in the 2016 Olympics, winning four gold medals and a silver medal and setting a new world record for the 400-meter and 800-meter freestyle races. She’s still representing Team USA in the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, where, so far, she received silver in the 400-meter freestyle and gold in the 1,500-meter freestyle.
