Brittney Reese
Brittney Reese attended three Olympic Games from 2008 to 2016. In 2012, she received her first and only gold medal in the long jump, where she cleared 7.12 meters, a full 0.05 meters ahead of the runner-up, Yelena Sokolova from Russia. In Rio De Janeiro, she took home the silver medal in the long jump event behind fellow US teammate, Tianna Bartoletta.
Following her success in London, she started the Reese Scholarship, which was awarded to athletic students in Baltimore County public schools. In 2020, she made Team USA and will participate in Tokyo. As of writing this, she has yet to go the distance, but we hope she can take home another gold for our country!
